The highly anticipated 2015 U.S. News Law School Ranking has recently been released.
There was again only little movement among the top law schools, although it is worth noting that Emory and George Washington have made it back into the top twenty.
As expected, Yale Law School is still firmly holding on to the first place.
The top 20 law schools are now as follows (with last year’s results in brackets):
1. Yale (#1)
2. Harvard (#2)
3. Stanford (#2)
4. Columbia (#4)
4. Chicago (#4)
6. NYU (#6)
7. Penn (#7)
8. UVA (#7)
9. Berkeley (#9)
10. Duke (#11)
10. Michigan (#9)
12. Northwestern (#12)
13. Cornell (#13)
13. Georgetown (#14)
15. Texas (#15)
16. UCLA (#17)
16. Vanderbilt (#15)
18. Washington University in St. Louis (#19)
19. Emory (#23)
20. George Washington (#21)
20. Minnesota (#19)
20. USC (#18)
U.S. News ranks law schools based on their J.D. programs. Nevertheless, the ranking is obviously also a strong indication of the quality of these law schools’ LL.M. programs and other graduate degrees.
